Entry Period:

The Sephora Canada x Toronto Tempo "She's Pretty Badass" Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Sephora Beauty Canada, Inc. (“Sponsor” or “Sephora”) and is open between June 4, 2026 at 12:00:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and June 11, 2026 at 11:59:59 PM ET (the “Entry Period”).

Instagram Not Involved:

The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram (the "Social Platform"). The Social Platform is hereby completely released of all liability by each Nominator or Nominee in this Contest. Any questions, comments

Administration of the Contest, WNBA Parties not involved:

This Contest is administered solely by Sponsor and is not administered by any of the WNBA Parties. As used herein “WNBA Parties” means Tempo Basketball Club Inc. (“Tempo”), the WNBA, WNBA Enterprises, LLC and their respective employees, officers, directors, affiliates.

Eligibility:

The Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who are of age of majority or older in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry. Employees, representatives or agents of Sponsor, Tempo, their respective parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions and all advertising, media buying and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Contest Parties”), are ineligible, as well as members of the immediate family of, or persons domiciled with, any of those described above. “Immediate family” means parents, siblings, children or spouse.

Agreement to Be Legally Bound by Rules:

By participating in this Contest, you are signifying your agreement that you have read and agree to be legally bound by these Official Rules (the "Rules").

WNBA Rules:

By participating in this Contest, you are signifying and acknowledge that WNBA owns and has the exclusive right to license WNBA trademarks, statistics, logos, game-action photographs, video and audio (the “WNBA Content”) nationally and internationally. These Rules are subject to all of the rules, regulations and agreements of the WNBA and its affiliated entities as they presently exist and as they may, from time to time, be entered into, created or amended, and the inclusion of WNBA Content may not be promoted or advertised outside of Canada.

How to Enter:

No purchase necessary.

Participants must have internet access and a valid Instagram account (an “Account”). If you do not have an Account, you can obtain one for free at https://instagram.com. You may only use one (1) to participate in this Contest.

To submit a nomination in the Contest, an eligible nominator (a "Nominator") must first obtain the official Contest application form (the "Application Form"). To obtain the Application Form a Nominator may either: (i) follow the link to the Application Form located in the bio of the Sponsor's official Instagram Account, @sephoracanada; or (ii) locate the official Contest post (the "Contest Post"), which will appear as a collaboration post on both the Sponsor Account and the Tempo’s official Instagram Account, and publish a comment on the Contest Post that tags one (1) woman whom the Nominator wishes to nominate (a "Nominee") and includes the word "BADASS" in the comment (a "Nomination Comment") - upon publishing a valid Nomination Comment, the Nominator will receive an automated direct message from @sephoracanada containing a link to the Application Form. Once the Application Form has been obtained (regardless of the method), each Nominator must complete the Application Form, which requires the Nominator to provide details about the Nominee and the reasons for the nomination, and submit the Application Form during the Entry Period.

When all of the foregoing required steps are complete, the Nominee described in the Application Form will have earned one (1) Nomination into the Contest.

Nomination Rules:

The following rules apply to all Nominations:

  • To be eligible, a Nominee must meet all Contest eligibility requirements set out in the Eligibility section above.
  • A Nominator must be following the Sponsor Account and must have their Account settings adjusted to be able to receive direct messages from the Sponsor Account;
  • A Nominator may only provide information in relation to a Nominee if the Nominator has received valid consent from the Nominee to tag the Nominee in the Nomination Comment and provide their information within the Application Form, to grant the rights and license as set out under these Rules and to enter the Nominee into the Contest.
  • A Nominator may only provide information in relation to a Nominee: (i) with whom the Nominator has had direct voluntary two-way communications, and with whom it is reasonable to conclude the Nominator has a personal relationship considering shared interests, experiences, opinions and other relevant factors; or (ii) to whom the Nominator is related by marriage, a common-law partnership, or parent-child relationship, and with whom the Nominator has had direct voluntary two-way communications.
  • The information of any Nominee will not be added to any direct marketing list or used in any direct marketing programs without their consent.
  • By providing information in relation to a Nominee, the Nominator is consenting to be contacted via Instagram direct message and email by the Sponsor in relation to the Contest.
  • A Nominator and/or Nominee may withdraw consent to use their personal information at any time.
  • An eligible Nominator cannot nominate themselves.

To be eligible, all content and materials associated with a Nomination (collectively, the "Nomination Materials") must: (i) be submitted and received in accordance with these Rules during the Entry Period; (ii) include all required components noted above; (iii) be in accordance with these Rules, including the Participation Requirements listed below; and (iv) be in accordance with the applicable terms, rules, policies and guidelines of the Social Platform (the "Social Platform Rules"), all as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion.

If it is discovered by the Sponsor (using any evidence or other information made available to or otherwise discovered by the Sponsor) that any person has attempted to: (i) exceed any of the limits stated in these Rules; (ii) use multiple names, identities, email addresses, Accounts, and/or use any automated, macro, script, robotic or other system(s) or program(s) to enter or otherwise participate in, or to disrupt, the Contest; and/or (iii) disrupt or participate in the Contest in any other fraudulent or misleading way, then they may be disqualified from the Contest in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.

Nomination Limits and Conditions:

A Nominator may only submit one (1) Nomination.

Participation Requirements:

By participating in the Contest, each Nominator and Nominee hereby warrants and represents that any Nomination Materials they submit:

  1. are original to them and that the Nominator has obtained all necessary rights (including, without limitation, from the Nominee) in and to the Nomination Materials for the purposes of entering such Nomination Materials in the Contest;
  2. do not violate any law, statute, ordinance or regulation;
  3. do not contain any reference to or likeness of any identifiable third parties, unless consent has been obtained from all such individuals and their parent/legal guardian if they are under the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence;
  4. will not give rise to any claims whatsoever, including claims of infringement, invasion of privacy or publicity, or infringe on any rights and/or interests of any third party;
  5. are not defamatory, trade libelous, pornographic or obscene, and do not contain, depict, include, discuss or involve, without limitation, any of the following: nudity; alcohol/drug consumption or smoking; explicit or graphic sexual activity or sexual innuendo; crude, vulgar or offensive language and/or symbols; derogatory characterizations of any ethnic, racial, sexual, religious or other groups; content that endorses, condones and/or discusses any illegal, inappropriate or risky behaviour or conduct; personal information of individuals (including names, telephone numbers and addresses); commercial messages, comparisons or solicitations for products or services other than products of the Sponsor; any identifiable third-party products, trademarks, brands and/or logos other than those of the Sponsor or Tempo; conduct or other activities in violation of these Rules; and/or any other materials that are or could be considered inappropriate, unsuitable or offensive, all as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion.

The Sponsor and/or its designated content moderator (the "Reviewer") reserves the right to screen all Nomination Materials. Any Nomination Materials that the Reviewer deems, in its sole and absolute discretion, to violate these Rules are subject to disqualification. The Reviewer reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion at any time and for any reason, to remove any Nomination Materials (or any part thereof) and/or to request a Nominator to modify, edit and/or re-submit his or her Nomination Materials in order to ensure compliance with these Rules.

Verification:

All Nomination Materials, Nominators and Nominees are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor, including government-issued photo identification): (i) for the purposes of verifying a Nominator’s or Nominee’s eligibility to participate in this Contest; (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of any Nomination Materials and/or other information entered for the purposes of this Contest; and/or (iii) for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with the letter and spirit of these Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor within the timeline specified by the Sponsor may result in disqualification. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of the Contest will be the official time-keeping device(s) used by the Sponsor.

License:

By entering the Contest and submitting a Nomination, each Nominator and Nominee: (i) without limiting the Social Platform Rules, grants to the Contest Parties, in perpetuity, a worldwide, non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit, make available, communicate to the public by telecommunication and otherwise use their Nomination Materials (and each component thereof), in whole or in part, for advertising or promoting the Contest or for any other reason in any type of media (including, on the social media accounts owned or operated by Sponsor, Tempo, and any party authorized by Sponsor or Tempo); (ii) waives all moral rights in and to their Nomination Materials in favour of the Contest Parties (and anyone authorized by the Contest Parties to use such Nomination Materials); and (iii) agrees to release and hold harmless the Released Parties (defined below) from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from use of their Nomination Materials, including any claim based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trademark infringement or any other intellectual property-related or other cause of action whatsoever.

Prizes:

There are three (3) prizes (each, a “Prize”) available to be won, each consisting of the following:

  1. One (1) exclusive interview and profile feature on the social media accounts, including without limitation, TikTok and Instagram, owned or operated by Sponsor, Tempo, and any party authorized by Sponsor or Tempo;
  2. Two (2) courtside tickets to a local Toronto Tempo game (the “Game”) (one for the winner and one for a guest (a “Guest” – subject to the Guest Requirements below));
  3. One (1) $250.00 CAD Sephora gift card; and
  4. One (1) Toronto Tempo merchandise package (selected by the Contest Parties in their sole and absolute discretion).

The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each Prize is $2,200 CAD.

IMPORTANT NOTE RE: WINNER OBLIGATIONS

By accepting the Prize, each winner agrees to a two-day commitment consisting of: (i) attendance at the Game on a date designated by the Sponsor; and (ii) participation in a one-day profile interview and content shoot on a date designated by the Sponsor. Winners and their Guest must attend the entirety of the Game in their assigned seats to facilitate filming (collectively, the “Winner Obligations”).

IMPORTANT NOTE RE: BACKGROUND CHECKS

Each potential winner must undergo a background check prior to being confirmed the winner, and if required, must sign and return any documentation confirming permission for such background check as may be required by the Sponsor.

Failure or refusal to fulfill these obligations will result in forfeiture of the Prize.

Prize Conditions:

Limit one (1) Prize per person. Prizes must be accepted as awarded, may not be refunded or transferred and are not convertible to cash. All Nominations are subject to verification and Nominees may be required to show proof of identification as part of the verification process. All selected Nominees whose eligibility cannot be confirmed under these Official Rules may, in the sole discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute all or a portion of a Prize with a prize or prizes of equal or greater value for any reason. Any unused portions of any Prize is forfeited and has no cash value. Refusal by a selected Nominee to accept the Prize as described and according to the Official Rules will release the Sponsor of all obligations relating to the Prize for that Nominee.

The winner and their Guest must participate in the Prize in a respectable manner and abide by all applicable venue policies. The Sponsor reserves the right to revoke any component of the Prize from the winner or a winner’s guest who it, or applicable venue personnel, deem (in their sole discretion) as a safety risk, having violated any applicable policy or law, or may be bringing Sponsor or any of the other Released Parties into disrepute (and for greater certainty, nothing will be substituted in place of any revoked Prize component).

None of the Released Parties makes any representation or offers any warranty, express or implied, as to the quality or fitness of any Prize awarded in connection with the Contest. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, each confirmed winner understands and acknowledges that he or she may not seek reimbursement or pursue any legal or equitable remedy from either the Sponsor or any of the other Released Parties should the Prize fail to be fit for its purpose or is in any way unsatisfactory.

Guest Requirements:

The confirmed winner’s Guest must: (a) have reached the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence; and (b) sign and return the Sponsor’s release (by the date indicated on the release form) indicating that the Guest: (i) waives all recourse against the Sponsor and all of the other Released Parties relating to their participation in the Prize; and (ii) agrees to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of their name, address, voice, statements about the Contest, photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor in perpetuity throughout the world in any manner or medium whatsoever, including print, broadcast or the internet.

Winner Selection:

A panel of judges (the “Program Judges”) appointed by Sponsor will judge each eligible Nomination on the basis of the following weighted criteria:

  1. How the Nominee lives with authenticity and embodies the spirit of the "She's Pretty Badass" campaign: /10.
  2. How the Nominee builds community and serves as a role model for those around them: /10.
  3. The quality and persuasiveness of the nomination, including the information provided on the Application Form: /10.
  4. The extent to which the Nomination meets the objectives, tone and overall goals of the profile feature and is appropriate for public display across the Sponsor-selected channels: /10.

Each Nomination will be given a score (a “Score”) by the Program Judges. Odds of being selected depend on the number and calibre of eligible Nominations submitted and received in accordance with these Official Rules.

The eligible Nominees associated with the top three (3) Scores (as determined by the Program Judges, in their sole and absolute discretion) will each be selected as the eligible recipient of a Prize (subject to compliance with these Official Rules) (the “Potential Winners”).

Judging is scheduled to be completed on or about June 25, 2026.

Winner Confirmation:

Sponsor will attempt to contact the Potential Winners via email. Prior to being declared a winner, each Potential Winner must first: (i) return and complete a signed authorization to conduct a background check (IMPORTANT NOTE: THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT, IN ITS SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION, TO DISQUALIFY A POTENTIAL WINNER BASED ON THE RESULTS OF SUCH BACKGROUND CHECK AND TO AWARD A NEW POTENTIAL WINNER, IN ITS SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION); (ii) complete, sign and return a declaration of compliance within five (5) business days of notification with these Official Rules and a liability and publicity release (the “Promotion Release”) in accordance with the instructions provided by the Sponsor which (among other things): (a) confirms compliance with these Official Rules; (b) acknowledges acceptance of the Prize (as and if awarded); (c) releases the Sponsor and all of the other Released Parties from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, their participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Prize or any portion thereof; and (d) grants to the Contest Parties (and any party authorized by the Sponsor) the: (1) irrevocable rights and permissions to tape, film, photograph, audio record and otherwise capture (in whole or in part) the potential winner’s name, image, voice, any comments made by or attributable to the potential winner (including without limitation answers in the course of an interview and any performance given by or attributable to the winner) (collectively, the “Assets”); and (2) irrevocable, fully paid up, royalty free, worldwide rights and license, in perpetuity, to reproduce, copy, publish, perform in public, disseminate, synchronize with other content and materials and otherwise exploit the Assets (in whole or in part, as is or as may be edited) and any materials based upon or derived therefrom (collectively, the “Materials”, which for greater certainty include the Assets) in any manner, method and media now or hereafter known (including without limitation by incorporating the Assets into a profile about the potential winner which will be shared on the social media accounts owned or operated by Sponsor, Tempo, and any party authorized by Sponsor or Tempo) in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor or Tempo.

If a Potential Winner cannot be contacted within three (3) days of Sponsor’s first attempt at contact, fails to complete, sign and return any required Promotion Releases within the time specified on such releases and/or otherwise is not in compliance with these Official Rules, he/she will be disqualified and forfeits the Prize.

In the event a Potential Winner is disqualified or not eligible, he/she shall not be awarded the Prize, that Prize may not be awarded, and Sponsor shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard.

General Conditions:

Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, or undelivered Nominations or correspondence, incorrect, changed or non-functioning Instagram accounts; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, printer errors, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing of Nominations, or in any Contest-related materials. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants’ or to any other person’s mobile device, computer or printer related to or resulting from participating in this Contest or downloading materials from or use of any website. Proof of Nomination will not be deemed to be proof of receipt. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Contest, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified. Should any portion of the Contest be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by bugs, virus, worms, non-authorized human intervention or other causes, which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security or fairness of, or submission of information in connection with, the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the Contest and, in its discretion, select the potential winners from all eligible, non-suspect Nominations received prior to action taken. By participating, you agree (i) to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor which are final and binding, and (ii) to release and hold harmless Sponsor and all other Contest Parties, the WNBA Parties, the Social Platform and each of their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (the “Released Parties”) against any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Contest or acceptance, use or misuse of any Prize. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of participants and the Sponsor in connection with this Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws applicable in the province of Ontario. In the event that the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside require that the laws of such jurisdiction apply to these Official Rules, the foregoing governing law shall not apply to you.

Personal information provided in connection with this Contest will be used and disclosed by Sponsor as necessary for the purposes of administering the Contest and otherwise in accordance with the Sponsor’s privacy policy, available at http://www.sephora.com/privacy-policy.
